Aaron Davidson
Aaron Davidson, think of him as the mad scientist of long range technology and technique. But you'll find there's little emphasis on the “mad” as Aaron guides you through the science and application behind long range shooting. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Aaron has been at the center of industry advancements in long range shooting over the last decade. His quest to redefine long range shooting has been fueled by his passion to educate outdoor enthusiasts around the world, beginner and expert alike. Aaron is known by many in the industry as the authority in all things long range. This title was not given to him overnight, but earned through years of dedicated research and development efforts by himself and his company. Aaron’s expertise in the areas of ballistics, and software applications have led to the development of many cutting edge products, including the Gseven line of scopes and the BR2 ballistic rangefinder. Informative, innovative and dedicated, no doubt you will benefit a great deal from his vast amount of knowledge. Thanks to Aaron, the trial and error period of long range shooting is now behind us!
Mike Davidson
Mike Davidson. Yep, Aaron and Mike are brothers. And yep, there's sibling rivalry, which is usually all in good fun...usually. The problem is, if there's something to be hunted, Mike usually gets first crack at it—and it’s almost always bigger than Aaron's. (Bit of a standing joke). His passion for hunting is only equalled by his shooting skill, shown by his nomination for best shot by the Sportsman Channel for his incredible Utah elk taken with a single shot at over 900 yards. You won’t ever hear Mike talk about his accomplishments; he's pretty quiet about his own exploits. Mike was instrumental in the development of the LRM500 muzzleloader, changing the muzzleloader industry with countless long range shots previously thought to be impossible. As much as Mike loves hunting, he loves helping others with their outdoor pursuits even more. That's why Mike is here offering expert advice for all types of shooters, to help you take that trophy of a lifetime!
Kregg Thomassen
Kregg Thomassen brings his quick wit and overflowing enthusiasm to Long Range Pursuit. Growing up in northern Utah, he learned to shoot from his dad. He hunted archery for 15 years, “carrying a stick and a string” as he likes to jest, the unique science and skill of becoming a successful bow hunter lead him to explore long range shooting as the next step in his outdoor evolution. Kregg jumped at the chance to be a part of our crew and be, as he says, “taught by the best”. He has hunted and filmed around the world with time in Africa topping his list. Filming in -20 degree conditions in Alberta for whitetail and battling frostbite was his filming low (It’s just a little frostbite Kregg; you don't need TWO big toes). The most memorable highlight since joining the team was being able to see a young cancer survivor fulfill his dream and take his first bull elk with an LR-1000 shooting system. A “no regrets attitude” is what you can expect to find with Kregg, he always limits out on fun!
Garrett Wall
Garrett Wall, like Kregg, was also born in northern Utah. We like to keep those two separated as much as possible, you never know what's going to happen if we keep them together too long. Garrett brings a lot of fun to Long Range Pursuit, he began his hunting pursuits with family and friends at an early age and continues those same traditions today. Hunting with a bow, muzzleloader, and rifle are all skills he enjoys while spending time in the outdoors. Garrett has a degree in accounting and a master's in business administration from Weber State University—but we like to rescue him from that as much as possible. This year Garrett had an experience of a lifetime hunting axis deer and trophy mouflon in Hawaii. Over the past 2 seasons Garrett has become an accomplished videographer in his own right. Yeah- We keep him busy.
Kirsten Weiss
Kirsten Weiss, she's the new gun in town. A competition precision rifle shooter for 10 years, she competed in the Munich World Cup, made the Olympic Short-list and won the NRA Woman's National Championship title for Three-position small-bore rifle—and that’s just 2012. At 50 meters outdoors, her 10 ring is smaller than a dime, which makes her sport extremely precise; some even dub it “superhuman”. One subtle heartbeat can throw off the shot. But with World Championships and other high-stake competitions under her belt, she knows what it’s like to shoot under pressure with skill and looks forward to translating her art to your hunting and shooting exploits.
Always up for devling deep into the grit of life, she's lived and adventured in the near and far corners of the world, hiking the andes, diving with sharks, hunting dangerous game, climbing volcanos, living with hill tribes, crossing unstable borders, surviving world-class Samoan waves, studying under the grandmasters of ancient arts, and more secrets she'd rather be revealed slowly--or perhaps only to a select few... She's also been hunting with her family, and harvesting game since she was old enough for it to be legal. Hunting many species both in the States and internationally, her first harvest was at 12 years old, a zebra in Zimbabwe. One shot, one fast kill, just the way she likes it. In the Long Range Pursuit season to come, let's see if she can run with the boys!
